At South Anna Elementary, every student has a place to belong.
Our 4 Houses, 1 Family initiative brings students, staff, and families together through four Houses, each with its own identity, traditions, and spirit, while reminding us that no matter which House we represent, we are all part of one SAES family.
Inspired by the House System created by the Ron Clark Academy, our Houses are designed to build connection across grade levels, encourage positive character, celebrate achievement, and give students even more opportunities to feel seen, supported, and proud of their school.

Each House has its own personality and traditions, but together they share one goal: making South Anna a place where everyone belongs.
More Than House Colors
Being part of a House isn't just about wearing a color or earning points.
Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to participate in House events, celebrations, challenges, service projects, school traditions, and friendly competitions. Along the way, they'll practice teamwork, leadership, kindness, encouragement, school pride, and supporting others.
And we want our families to be part of it, too!
Parents, grandparents, siblings, and our entire SAES community are encouraged to join in, wear those House colors proudly, attend House events, and help us bring the House System to life beyond the classroom.
Bringing Our School Community Together
The SAES PTA and South Anna Elementary are working together to make our school traditions feel more connected than ever.
You'll see the Houses incorporated into PTA events, school celebrations, spirit wear, family activities, and new traditions throughout the year.
Some days we'll compete.
Some days we'll celebrate.
Some days we'll serve our community together.
But at the end of every one of them, we're still 4 Houses. 1 Family.
